BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF DR. AMBEDKAR ON APRIL 14

The birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, architect of the Constitution of India is celebrated every year on April 14 and in recognition of the same level public function is celebrated at Ambedkar Garden, Panaji where the garlanding of the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is done by the dignitaries in the presence of community people and other public in general.

In view of the prevailing situation in the country due to health emergency forced by COVID -19 an infectious disease caused by Corona Virus and due to precautionary guidelines issued by the Government to contain the spread of epidemic this year, it has been decided by the Government to celebrate 130th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar on April 14, 2021 strictly by garlanding of the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in the presence of maximum 50 persons. Chief Minister will be garlanding of the statue at 10.30 a.m. at aforesaid venue.

Hence all the organizations are hereby advised not to organize the public function in view of health emergency forced by COVID -19, as informed by the Department of Information and Publicity.
